BROWN SKINNED ROSE

I touched the tender blossom,
Of the brown skinned rose,
The delicate, pink petals were alive,
Full of moisture, and color, and fragrance,
The strong, supple limbs,
Rippled with delight,
As the fragile, sensitive, inner bud,
Tensed in anticipation,

The sighing sounds became an ever lengthening, oh….
As the fragile, sensitive bud,
Erupted in cascading tremors…
