As a kid I grew up in a small town but I always had big dreams. I remember at the age of ten I sent in a joke to a local TV station and won "The Joke Of The Week." I was a celebrity for one day and it felt great. I was at our local comedy club, The Funny Bone. They were advertising an open mic night, and I signed up for it. The third time I went on stage at the Funny Bone I won the open mic contest and received the opportunity to open the show. The next open mic at the Funny Bone I won again. Later I received information that Leon's Bar and Grill in Longview, TX hosted open mic nights and Stand Up Comedians were welcome, I was there the next open mic. I was the only Stand Up Comedian mixed in with nothing but country music singers. Still later I was told that Lil Joes Tavern in Sheveport, LA also hosted open mic nights. This is were I met Top Cat for the first time. He gave me a spot in his show and a mic and said "Do your thing". Once again I was the only Stand Up Comedian to take the stage that night, but this time I was mixed in with Rap and Hip Hop Artists. I had a great set and an even better crowd, everyone responded exactly the way a comedian would hope they would. A few days later I received an email from Top Cat inviting me to be a feature at the "Unwrapped Talent Showcase" in Longview, TX. I felt it to be an honor to share the stage with such amazing artists from all over, I had the time of my life. Comedy is my life and I am looking forward to living it to the fullest.
