Lil Boxx, born Christopher Kelson in Baton Rouge, LA, began rapping at age 13. Rappers such as Soulja Slim, Tupac, Dipset, and many local rappers inspired Lil Boxx to become a rapper. At age 17, Lil Boxx, his cousin, and a friend formed a rap group called Da Wrecking Crew. They recorded their first song, performed at school talent shows and house parties. Later recognized, the group signed with Big Faces Entertainment. Lil Boxx has performed at many clubs and venues in Louisiana and Mississippi. He has opened up for artists such as Lil Boosie, Webbie, and Foxx and is often categorized as artists such as T.I., Lil Wayne, and Soulja Boy.
