The music industry was never the same once The Rude Boys hit the scene. Four men that hailed from Cleveland, Ohio took the world by storm. Joe Little, Buddy Banks, Larry (Bingo)Mar­cus, and Melvin Sephus along with mentor Gerald Levert presented the group’s debut album entitled, “Rude Awakening” (Atlantic Records) spawned two number one hits: “Are You Lonely For Me,” and the mega smash “Written All Over Your Face,” which won the Billboard R&B Song Of the Year in 1991 and peaked at number 13 on the top 100 Pop Charts and continued to chart high on various charts worldwide.

The Rude Boys made innumerous appearances at various television shows and venues, includ­ing: The Arsenio Hall Show, Showtime At the Apollo, Party Machine, Soul Train, BET, VH1 and MTV.

In 1992, The Rude Boys released their second album entitled, “Rude House,” (Atlantic Records) and released the single, “My Kinda Girl,” which peaked at number 2 on Billboard’s R&B Charts.Rapper Jay-Z performed on a remix of the song produced by Atlantic Records Hip Hop A&R and hit Producer Clark Kent.

Joe Little released a solo album entitled, “Puttin’ It Down,” (Atlantic Records) in 1994 which spawned the singles, “The Hump Is On” and “Me And You.” In 1997 The Rude Boys released their third album entitled, “Rude As Ever,” (Bucannon Music Group) which contained the hit, “Lock­down,” and the incredible rendition of the O’Jays’ hit song, “Wildflower.”

The Rude Boys have continued to record and perform electrifiying shows around the world. Members of The Rude Boys still work in the industry. Joe Little a.k.a. Casino Joe has transformed into an accomplished writer, musician and music producer. He has also formed a production company and Independent Record Label (Da Union Music Group
